PUTRAJAYA, Aug 30 (Bernama) — The government has no choice but to implement the Sales and Services Tax (SST) by Sept 1, despite various issues, or else the country’s current account will fall into deficit, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said.
He said the country would experience a shortfall of RM4 billion in revenue if the SST were not rolled out and this would place a heavy toll on the government’s economic performance.
