Businesses should leverage on SME financing from BNM
PUTRAJAYA, Sept 25 (Bernama) -- Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are urged to make use of the financing available from Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNN) Funds for Small and Medium Enterprises. Finance Minster Lim Guan Eng said there were still RM3.9 bilion of funding available and SMEs should take the opportunity to harness the financing available to grow their businesses.

Call for errant SME entrepreneurs to repay their loans
KAJANG, Sept 24 (Bernama) -- Entrepreneur Development Minister Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof today called on small and medium enterprise entrepreneurs to exercise greater discipline in repaying their loans with financial institutions.Their failure to repay the debts had resulted in the banks being unwilling to provide loans to expand their business, he said.

OECD trims economic outlook over trade and emerging market woes
PARIS: Global economic growth has peaked out in the face of rising trade frictions and emerging market turbulence, the OECD said, trimming its earlier outlook. The world economy is on course for growth this year of 3.7% this and next year, up from 3.6% last year, said the Organisation for Economic Co-operation & Development (OECD). In its last economic outlook in May, the Paris-based policy forum had forecast growth of 3.8% this year and 3.9% in 2019, but it said in an update yesterday that growth had peaked since those last projections were made.

MATRADE aims for 30 pct increase in women exporters via WEDP
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia External Trade Development (MATRADE) hopes to see a 30 per cent increase in women exporters through its three-year Women Exporters Development Programme (WEDP). Cradle fund's CIP to reach GDP Of RM30.8 billion by 2030
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 (Bernama) – Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd (Cradle) expects its Cradle Investment Programme (CIP) to reach a gross domestic product (GDP) of RM30.8 billion by 2030. Cradle acting group chief executive officer Razif Abdul Aziz said CIP has contributed RM3.4 billion to the country's GDP to date, created 80,600 full-time jobs, and attracted RM1.3 billion in private and foreign funds over eight years from 2008.

Pertingkatkan R&D dalam pelbagai tanaman - Dr Mahathir
KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad berkata, pelbagai kajian perlu dilakukan ke atas lebih banyak tanaman yang mampu memberi manfaat kepada negara selain kelapa sawit dan getah.
Perdana Menteri berkata, kajian terbabit penting supaya lebih banyak produk dapat dihasilkan daripada sumber tanaman yang terdapat di negara ini.
"Getah dan kelapa sawit bukan berasal dari Malaysia. Getah dibawa dari Brazil manakala kelapa sawit dan Afrika Barat namun bagaimana tanaman ini dimanfaatkan memberi pulangan yang amat baik kepada negara.

SME Bank appoints Aria Putera Ismail as CEO
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (Bernama) – Aria Putera Ismail has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Bhd (SME Bank) effective today.

One-stop centre, road show to empower Bumiputera development
