About SMEinfo

The SMEinfo Portal is a centralised online information repository on MSMEs and all related and relevant information. Launched in January 2006, the portal serves as a one-stop online information gateway that provides comprehensive information on financing, training, as well as Government initiatives and support programmes for entrepreneurs and MSMEs.

The portal was initially developed by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), but when BNM handed over its role as the Secretariat to the NSDC to SME Corp. Malaysia in 2008, the responsibilities to manage the portal also followed suit.

To ensure a continued relevance and usefulness of the portal, it was recently upgraded by SME Corp. Malaysia on March 2018, with the aim to make it more user-friendly, content-rich and effective in disseminating information. Accessing the portal offers users several key benefits.

The SMEinfo portal accumulates extensive range of information such as business guides, site-maps detailing stages in the formation of a business, how to grow and expand the business, as well as exiting a particular business. The portal displays initiatives encompassing topics on access to financing, training and other MSMEs Institutional Support. The portal also has news and events sections where M&As are welcomed to upload their planned programmes. Published material which covers policies and regulations, and publications such as SME Masterplan and various annual reports, are also made available in the portal.
