SME Insights 2019/20 New Release
SME Insights 2019/20 is a new branding of the SME Annual Report released in March 2021 by SME Corp. Malaysia, Secretariat to the National Entrepreneur and SME Development Council (NESDC). Aptly themed ‘SMEs in the New Normal: Rebuilding the Economy’, the Report highlights the current issues of COVID-19 impacting SMEs domestically and globally. For ease of reference, the Report is published in two volumes namely the Main Report and the Economic Report. The Main Report covers various topics such as SME development policies as well as initiatives and programmes from national, regional and global perspectives. The Main Report also includes a separate chapter on comprehensive financing ecosystem for SMEs and inspiring entrepreneurship journey of SMEs from diverse sectors and backgrounds. Meanwhile, the Economic Report presents the global overview on performance of SMEs; a deep-dive into the performance of SMEs in Malaysia; findings from 2019 SME survey and outlook for SMEs in 2020 with a culmination on what to look forward to in 2021.
